Share testimonials
Once a consented review is published, place it close to the decision it supports. Preserve its meaning and attribution.
Create and install a widget
Section titled “Create and install a widget”- Publish your performer page and at least one review.
- Open Widgets → Create widget. Give it an internal name, choose Card grid, List, or Aggregate rating, and a Light or Dark theme.
- Lists/grids use Latest published reviews or Selected reviews, with a maximum of 1–12. Aggregate rating uses all publicly eligible published reviews, not the selected subset.
- Customize Caption, Title, and Link text, or clear a field to hide it. Leave Link address blank for your profile or enter your own full web address. Clearing Link text hides the link.
- Check Enable embed on websites, save, and check Saved preview. New widgets start disabled. Save before paging through review choices.
- Copy the code under Add it to your website into a Custom HTML or Embed block. Use the production app’s code, not localhost URLs. Publish your website and test on desktop and a phone.
The iframe contains the widget; the optional script adjusts height. If the CMS strips scripts, keep the iframe and adjust its height, with scrolling available. Some site-builder plans block custom embeds. No API key is needed. Never embed authenticated preview/settings URLs.
Sites with Content Security Policy must allow https://app.shownoise.com for frames and, for automatic sizing, scripts. Ask your website developer if these are restricted.
Removing ShowNoise branding requires eligible Paid or complimentary access. The Billing page shows current access; planned pricing is not yet active in production.
Update or remove an embed
Section titled “Update or remove an embed”Save changes in ShowNoise—no website rebuild is needed. Allow up to 60 seconds for a new load to reflect cached changes. An already-open widget remains a snapshot until reloaded. Disable a widget to hide its content; deleting it permanently removes the embed address but leaves reviews intact. Private pages and disabled widgets display an unavailable state.
Custom integrations
Section titled “Custom integrations”Developers can read public JSON at https://app.shownoise.com/api/v1/performers/your-address. Use its reviewsUrl for review traversal, then follow each response’s next link until null. Public reads need no API key; never expose privileged credentials. Short-lived caching applies.
Public profile
Section titled “Public profile”Use your public ShowNoise profile as the home for published testimonials. Link to it from booking materials when someone wants more context.
Your website
Section titled “Your website”Choose a small number of relevant quotes instead of placing the full archive on every page. Keep the reviewer name and role attached so the feedback retains its context.
Booking materials
Section titled “Booking materials”Short testimonials work well in proposals and one-sheets when they support a specific claim. Use feedback from a comparable event when possible.
Social channels
Section titled “Social channels”Pair a testimonial with real footage or photography from the kind of performance it describes. Keep the original meaning intact and avoid presenting a private submission as a public endorsement until you have chosen to publish it.
